Phillip C. "Phil" Binns, 41, of Collierville, TN, formerly of Crossett, died Tuesday, April 4, 2000. He was co-manager of the Sewell Allen Piggly Wiggly stores in the Memphis, TN, area, and a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Collierville. He enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid Razorback and sports fan and enjoyed listening to his children play the piano.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Laster Binns; one son, Mark Binns; two daughters, Lori and Kristen Binns, all of Collierville; his parents, Bobby and Sandra Binns of Crossett; a brother, Jimmy Binns of Kiowa, CO; and his grandmother, Corrine Binns of Crossett.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Friday, April 7, in the Beech Street Baptist Church with Gary Watkins, Larry Haynes and Bob Vest officiating. Pallbearers were Kevin Kilcrease, Greg Sharp, Mike Burchfield, Ray Lucas, Greg Keppell, Ronnie Terrell, Randy Wright and Monte Kilcrease. Burial followed services at Pinewood Memorial Park, directed by Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
