Everett was a bachelor most of his life and enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the rocky Mountains as he settled in Gunnison, CO and worked as a rancher and engaged in business there until his death. In 1948 he married the widow of his half-brother, Frank, Jetta Thiel Frost.
