General:

EASTERLY, Lois Caroline of Okla. City, OK, died on December 14, 1996 at the age of 73 following a lengthy illness. Lois was born on Sept. 21, 1923 in Little Rock, AR. She graduated from the Baptist Hospital Nurses School in Little Rock, as a registered nurse, then served her country as a navy nurse during WWII. She eventually retired as a registered nurse. She was a Charter Member of the Women in Military Service Memorial. She loved nature and plant life and was a member of the Garden Party Rose Club, the Silver Lake Garden Club, and the American Hermerocallis Society, all of Okla. City. She also loved reading and working crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents E.B. and Lucille Hester of Little Rock, AR. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 51 years, Robert, A. Easterly, Sr.; 1 brother and sister-in-law, James and Kyle Hester of Benton, AR; her children, Kathy & husband Tony Amos of Piedmont, OK Roberta & husband Bob Beaver of Houston, TX, Debbie Blevins of OKC, & Robert Easterly, III and wife Dr. Jeanie Heyser-Easterly of Tulsa, OK. Also 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 1 nephew, 1 niece, and numerous friends. Her life was rich in love of family and friends, and she will be greatly missed by both. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Visitation will be Sunday Dec. 15, 1996 from 2 to 5 P.M. Services will be held 10 A.M. Monday Dec. 16, 1996 at the North Colonial Chapel with burial in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery, OKC.
