General:

Martha Ruth King Wilcoxon, 82, of Crossett died Tuesday, February 15, 2005. Born November 18, 1922, to John Alexander and Eliza Jeanette Pennington King in Rawls, she worked as a clerk for Lucky's Dry Cleaners for many years and then for the Rose Inn until it closed. She retired as a dietician from Ashley County Medical center and was a member of South Crossett Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, James Frederick Wilcoxon of Hamburg and John Allen Wilcoxon and Thomas W. Wilcoxon, both of Crossett; one brother, William T. King of Crossett; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Frederick Wilcoxon; two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services were held Thursday, February 17, at 2 p.m. at South Crossett Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Don Justice officiating. Burial was at Hickory Grove Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett. Pallbearers were Billy Don Cecil, Jon Ballard, Barry Wilcoxon, Brad Wilcoxon, Bryan Wilcoxon, Steven Wilcoxon and Dave Lucas. Honorary pallbearers were Justin Wilcoxon, Devin Cecil, Billy Charles King and Greg Sled.
