Mrs. Merle W Hester, aged 69, of Little Rock, formerly of Fountain Hill and Crossett, wife of Norman J Hester, died Thursday. She was a native of Ashley County, a former employee of Sterling Stores and a member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church at Little Rock. Other survivors are a son, John R Hester of Little Rock, two daughters, Norma White of Crossett and Joyce Keathley of North Little Rock, a brother, Harold L Woods iof Cape Girardeau, Mo, two sisters, Lola Mae Jackson of Hamburg and Marie White of Fountain Hill, five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Funeral will be at 1pm Saturday in Fountian Hill Baptist Church by Rev R D White and Rev Wally Ferguson. Burial will be in Flat Creek Cemetery by Jones Funeral Home.
