Simeon Frost
Simeon, Jr. died about 10 miles west of Independence, MO while crossing the plains with his son, George, on their way to California to the gold mines. William James Frost, his Grandson, records that he died of cholera and was buried in an unmarked grave. Simeon had owned extensive properti es during his lifetime and had raised a large family. Al of the children grew to adulthood and were married. Several of his sons continue to live in Missouri and there are many of his descendents in that state today.
• Occupation: farmer and blacksmith. Simeon married Mary (Polly) Woods, daughter of Living and Living, in 1809. (Mary (Polly) Woods died in 1839.) Simeon next married Living |
