Norma Jean Hester

  General Notes:

Norma Jean White, 62, of Crossett, died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at the Ashley County Medical Center. Born September 3, 1938 to Norman and Merle Mae Woods Hester, Mrs. White was a registered nurse and a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda White, and her mother, Merle Hester.
Survivors include her husband, Reggie White; one son, Gary White and wife Stacey; one daughter, Wendy Allen, and her father, Norman Hester, all of Crossett; one brother, John Robert Hester, and one sister, Joyce Keathley, both of Little Rock; and three grandchildren, Tabitha Freeman, Mitchell White and Karen Howell.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Roy Craig and Farrell Breshears officiating. Pallbearers were Danny Kirkland, Martin Tharpe, Randy Mitchell, Harold Bonnette, Jerry Stell, and Jason Freeman. Interment was at the Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.

Norma married Reginald Dean White, son of Ashton Reginald White and Edith Mae Doss, on 7 Jun 1959 in Crossett, Ashley, AR.
