Obit: Horace Jewell Yates of 165 Kinney Loop, Eugene, passed away on June 11, 1962. He was born on March 27, 1890 in Malvern, Arkansas. He was a sawmill worker. He was united in marriage to Garnett L. Hall on June 25, 1911 in Malvern, Arkansas, and had been a resident of this community for the past 12 years. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Creswell. He is survived by his wife, Garnett; three sons: C. D. Yates, James A. Yates and Joseph Yates, all of Eugene; one daughter, Mrs. Horace Grigsby of Malvern, Arkansas; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; one brother, C. H. Yates of Grand Junction, Colorado; one sister, Mrs. Emma Dolby of Malvern, Arkansas; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 16, 1962 at 10 a.m. Daylight Time at the Assembly of God Church in Springfield. Rev. T. L. Scevers and Rev. Carlson officiating with interment to follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Buell Chapel in charge.
